Bride's Stories
Sally
Had booked in for a beautiful beaded lace gown for her wedding in February. We started early to have plenty of time for fittings. Meeting me for her second fitting Sally had news for me - she was nearly three months pregnant. We decided to put the gown on hold for a little while, as a redesign would be necessary at a later date. When we met up again, six weeks before the wedding, we discussed a softer fabric, for a more layered look. Sally loved the idea of a strapless gown, but needed a style to accommodate her changing body and hide her growing tummy.
We changed the supportive corsetry in her gown, so it would allow further adjustments in the coming weeks, cutting the satin shell loose enough to fall softly over the firm lining.
Finely draping the top, we flattered her beautiful decolletage, creating a stunning wrap effect.
Since Sally's wedding we have created beautiful gowns for many of her friends. As she wrote: "You were great to work with and especially accommodating and insightful, given the circumstances. Needless to say I would recommend you to all my friends, although I think the dress has done a pretty good job of that already!"
