Cultivating a regular sleep pattern will help you feel refreshed and rejuvenated in the morning.

  Getting into the habit of regular facials will keep your skin in perfect condition for your big day. Invest in a good skin care system, with guidance from your beautician, and remember to always remove your makeup no matter how tired you are at the end of the day.

  Browsing wedding magazines and the Internet will give you lots of inspiration. Collect lots of pictures and try to narrow it down to the five you love most. Choose looks that compliment your best features and work with your gown. Also consider the overall style and theme of your wedding.

• 6. Natural Looks

  Natural make-up will compliment you without overwhelming your features. Choose a key look to flatter your individual beauty and show off your strong points. Spray on tan will give you a healthy glow without having to bake in the sun.

• 7. Book a Trial

  Make appointments to meet some make-up artists and look at their portfolios. Choose the best and book a trial. When discussing your wedding look with your hairstylist remember that any colour changes need to be tried at this point.

• 8. Look at the Cost

  Now is the time to discuss the total cost. Consider if the stylists will come to your location. You might be able to ask for a package deal if your bridesmaids need hair and make up too. And what about your mother...

• 9. Fittings

  Try and book one of your gown fittings straight after your trial. That way you can make sure your overall styling is right. If you are unsure, get your gown designer's opinion. Now is your chance to fine-tune your look and make any changes.

• 10. Book and Relax!
